We talked more of sense of place today, as well as vocation. Certainly relevant topics, I don't think of much else. Place, vocation, history, formation, form- it seems more dizzying here at the villa when you stop to think than when you're moving through the city (paradox- we are all walking around pointing out paradox all the time now, we can't have a meal without pointing out a paradox, usually one that isn't there).
Isaac and I spoke after dinner about how music forms your soul, since that too is a frequent Thomas More topic. He said it's hard to live when everything prompts a thousand questions about right, wrong, consequence. Philosophy can feel like a yolk. What am I saying, I have no idea what a yolk feels like anyway.
